M. Anthony "Tony" Johnston Jr.

Tony Johnston is a corporate partner in the Dallas office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. His practice focuses on strategically important and complex transactions, including private equity investments, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, financial sponsor-management team partnerships, preferred equity investments and restructurings, with a particular focus representing clients in the energy and infrastructure sector. Tony also has extensive experience advising private equity firms and their funds throughout their life cycles, including the formation, investment and monetization processes.
