Lucas Mapplebeck

Lucas is a partner of the firm, practicing out of the Hamilton office. Lucas represents employers in all areas of labour and employment law, with a particular emphasis on labour relations, privacy law compliance and employment litigation. With a practical and client-driven approach, Lucas appears regularly before courts, arbitration boards, the Ontario Labour Relations Board and various administrative tribunals. Lucas also regularly represents clients in collective bargaining negotiations and interest arbitration. In addition, Lucas has an interest in education law, having previously worked as a middle school teacher and college instructor.

Lucas has experience providing expert strategic advice for public and private sector employers, both unionized and non-unionized. His clients operate in various industries, including construction, manufacturing, education, technology, and healthcare.

Lucas was a summer and articling student with the firm before returning as an associate upon being called to the Bar in 2018.

Outside of the law, Lucas enjoys spending time with his family and two young children, travelling, skiing, and cheering on the Toronto Maple Leafs.
