Lourdes Pérez-Luque is a partner at Ventura Garcés & López-Ibor and head of the Tax Law Department at the firm’s Madrid office. Before joining the firm she spent 10 years running the Tax Department at Dentons Madrid (formerly Salans), having previously run her own consultancy company.
Lourdes’s main practice areas are Tax and Corporate Law. She has more than twenty-five years’ experience advising on Company Tax, VAT, and other direct and indirect taxes. She has been involved in a large number of corporate restructuring processes (mergers, demergers, etc.) and in the structuring of national and international investments involving both foreign investment in Spain and Spanish investment abroad. She has also gained wide-ranging experience of tax-related proceedings, assisting clients with tax inspections and court actions in disputes arising in relation to tax matters.
She has in-depth knowledge of a wide range of industrial sectors, such as wholesale distribution, broking, real estate, the energy market, retail distribution, telecommunications, fashion and luxury goods and the film and entertainment industry, among others.
She has worked on a large number of transactions that have required working with countries in Latin America, advising on investments, the repatriation of profits, etc.
She also sits on the Boards of Directors of a number of companies, offering them her expert knowledge in the areas of tax and corporate law.
Lourdes has also been Chair of the CFE (Confédération Fiscale Européenne), having previously acted as Spain’s representative at the organisation for more than 15 years. She was also Deputy Chair and General Secretary of the Governing Board of AEDAF (the Spanish Association of Tax Advisers), of which she is a member.
