Lionel is the founder and managing partner of Galion Société d'Avocats, a Paris-based law firm advising French and international clients in Employee Benefits Law and Labor and Employment Law.
He advises companies on individual employment relations, employment litigation, dispute resolution, corporate transactions, reorganizations and restructuring matters. Lionel also assists clients with Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), including mediation.
Admitted to the Bar in 1997, Lionel earned a DESS de Droit des Affaires and a Magistère-DJCE (Master’s degree in Business and Tax Law) from the University of Montpellier. Before founding Galion Société d'Avocats, he practiced with Cabinet Jeantet Associés, Baker & McKenzie and Mayer Brown, where he served as Of Counsel.
Lionel has taught Labour Law and European Labour Law at the University of Paris XII. He is also a senior lecturer at the University of Montpellier I (DJCE and Certificate of Special Studies in Labour Law), where he has taught employment litigation for more than twenty-five years.
In addition to his legal practice, Lionel regularly publishes articles in legal and national publications and participates in conferences focused on labor and employment law. He also provides training programs for employers and management teams on workplace law issues and employment-related developments.
He is a member of several professional organizations, including Avosial (French Employment Lawyers Association), AFPDC (French Association of Collaborative Professionals), ANAES (French National Association of Investigating Lawyers in Social Law), EELA (European Employment Lawyers Association) and the International Bar Association (IBA).
