Lindsie M. Thomson

Lindsie is exceptionally organized and efficient. A believer in practical, straightforward advice, she works to help employers identify problems early, so they can manage their workforces more easily. When a problem does arise, she uses the law to find a durable and effective solution.

Lindsie’s labour and employment law practice is a mix of day-to-day interaction with clients on labour, employment and human rights issues, as well as representation of employers in labour arbitrations, labour relations board hearings, human rights tribunal proceedings, employment standards proceedings and in appeals to the BC Supreme Court and Court of Appeal.

Lindsie regularly advises employers on collective agreement interpretation, discipline investigations, policy drafting, student issues, board governance issues, and accommodation and human rights issues. Lindsie acts as counsel to employers in the K-12 education sector, and for employers’ associations in other public sectors such as post-secondary and community social services. Lindsie also represents employers in the private sector, with clients in retail, warehousing, care services, dentistry and business services.
