Leta Rae is a member at Chamberlain & Rae PLLC, with offices in Bellingham and Seattle, Washington. She earned her law degree from Santa Clara University School of Law and has been licensed to practice law in Washington State since 2007. Ms. Rae’s practice focuses primarily on family-based immigration, including spousal and fiancé(e) petitions and waivers of inadmissibility. She also regularly guides clients through the naturalization process. A dual US and Canadian citizen, she is especially passionate about supporting cross-border families and helping clients navigate the complexities of the U.S. immigration system through a hands-on, personalized approach.
Ms. Rae is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and currently serves as Chair of the AILA Washington ICE Committee. In addition to her legal practice, she is deeply committed to supporting immigrant communities and is the founder of IRIS, a local nonprofit organization dedicated to meeting the basic human needs of immigrant families. Her immigration practice is further enriched by extensive international law experience. She has worked on cases before the Inter-American Court of Human Rights in San Jos?, Costa Rica; studied international law in Geneva, Switzerland; attended the International Institute of Human Rights in Strasbourg, France; and volunteered with a nonprofit organization in Nicaragua.
