Biography
Leonie Hesse advises international and German clients on a wide range of public commercial law matters. She is a counsel in the firm’s Antitrust and Competition Practice as well as the firm’s Public Policy and Legislative Affairs Group.
A key focus of Ms. Hesse’s practice is advising clients on matters relating to European public commercial law and EU administrative and constitutional law. Ms. Hesse has expertise in EU constitutional and administrative law and, inter alia, advises on matters of data protection, regulatory oversight of financial markets and bank resolutions. Ms. Hesse also counsels clients in European and German competition law, particularly on antitrust damages litigation.
While pursuing her legal education, Ms. Hesse worked for the Chair for Public Law, European Law and Public International Law at Helmut Schmidt University in Hamburg.
