Dr. Leonie Dißmann-Fuchs is a lawyer based in Düsseldorf with Vossius & Partner Patentanwälte Rechtsanwälte mbB. She was admitted to the bar in 2015 and has been a certified specialist lawyer for intellectual property law since 2019. She joined VOSSIUS in 2018 after practicing with a boutique law firm in Düsseldorf focused on intellectual property matters.
Dr. Dißmann-Fuchs advises and represents national and international clients in a broad range of intellectual property law matters. Her practice includes patent law and unfair competition law, with experience representing clients in and out of court. She is involved in infringement, injunction, and inspection proceedings across various technical sectors, including mobile communications, mechanical engineering, life sciences, and chemicals.
She studied law at the Westphalian Wilhelms University in Münster and at the University of Helsinki in Finland, where she also completed an additional qualification in information, telecommunications, and media law. After passing her First State Examination, Dr. Dißmann-Fuchs worked as a research associate in the intellectual property departments of international law firms and completed her doctoral studies.
Dr. Dißmann-Fuchs completed her legal clerkship in the district of the Higher Regional Court of Düsseldorf, with placements at the Regional Court of Düsseldorf, the German Embassy in New Zealand, and the intellectual property practice of an international law firm. Following her Second State Examination, she earned a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Intellectual Property from Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf in 2016, focusing on patent and competition law.
Dr. Dißmann-Fuchs works with clients on intellectual property law matters in German and English. She is a member of the German Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (GRUR).
