Leela brings an interdisciplinary perspective to her litigation practice, with academic backgrounds in both neuroscience and literature. She has experience with written advocacy at all levels of court, including the Provincial Court, Court of King’s Bench, Federal Court and Supreme Court of Canada, as well as appearances before Alberta tribunals.
Her work has included matters involving mental health and access to justice, including time with Alberta’s Mental Health Courts and volunteer work with Student Legal Services, Pro Bono Students Canada and the Edmonton Community Legal Clinic. She was recognized as Volunteer of the Year for her work with the Queen’s Bench Amicus Program.
