Lars Brusven

Lars is a Vancouver-based commercial litigator with a practice focused on shareholder disputes and oppression remedy claims, breach of contract litigation, professional liability investigations, fraud proceedings, and class actions. He regularly serves as arbitration counsel in complex commercial arbitrations—both domestic and international. Lars also frequently acts as lead counsel before administrative tribunals and regulatory agencies. Lars has represented clients before all levels of court in British Columbia and Ontario, as well as the Federal Court of Canada.

Prior to joining Fasken, Lars practiced at a prominent Toronto litigation boutique, handling a broad range of complex commercial litigation matters. He was previously crown counsel at the Department of Justice. His unique experience in the public and private sector makes him well-suited to navigate high-profile, contentious litigation and to provide clients with strategic advice in sensitive matters.
