Krystyna received her J.D. from Seton Hall Law with a concentration in health law where she received the ABA-BNA Award for Excellence in Health Law. Krystyna focuses her practice on healthcare regulatory, corporate and transactional representation. Krystyna advises hospitals, healthcare systems, healthcare technology vendors, and other entities operating in the healthcare sector on HIPAA and federal and state privacy and security law issues, health information exchange, Meaningful Use/Promoting Interoperability and MIPS, clinical research and regulatory compliance, among other healthcare matters. She and Helen also counsel several leading health information exchange organizations (HIOs).
Krystyna has volunteered with the American Bar Association’s HITECH Task Force. She is a regular author on the Legal Health Information Exchange, a nationally recognized health law blog on legal matters related to electronic health information exchange and privacy and security, and has authored and co-authored other health law publications, including “Privacy Interests Surrounding Anatomical Gifts for Research,” Health Law Handbook, Thomson Reuters/West (June 2012 Edition). Krystyna is admitted to practice law in New Jersey and New York.
