Biography

Kristy is a critical thinker who analyzes legal problems from every angle. With a sensitivity to her clients’ goals and needs, Kristy can formulate and offer practical and creative strategies to resolve family law disputes.

Kristy's practice encompasses all areas of family law including parenting, national and international child abduction, child support, spousal support and property division. Her previous experience in commercial litigation enables her to identify and address corporate and taxation issues within the family law context.

Kristy is the firm's Knowledge Management & Practice Support lawyer. In this role, Kristy provides guidance and support to the firm's lawyers in their practices, and strategic input into complex and novel legal issues for trial and appeal advocacy. She is a valuable resource to the firm, facilitating efficient exchange of knowledge and lawyer development to the benefit of the firm's clients, as the firm maintains its reputation as the leading family law firm in the country.

Kristy is an Associate Editor of the Reports of Family Law and assists with "Franks & Zalev, This Week in Family Law", a weekly family law newsletter published in FamilySource by WestlawNext Canada. Kristy has been recognized as a 2026 Best Lawyers One to Watch in Family Law.
