Biography

Kristin A. Norse practices exclusively in the areas of appellate practice and civil litigation support. She has over 30 years of legal experience, including more than 20 years representing clients in trial and appellate courts and ten years working as a senior staff attorney for the Honorable Chris W. Altenbernd at the Second District Court of Appeal. She has successfully represented individuals and businesses in well over 100 involving various areas of law including complex commercial cases, significant personal injury, employment disputes, civil rights, family law appeals, and more. She has also successfully represented clients by assisting trial counsel. providing litigation support, including in-depth legal research, drafting dispositive motions and responses, and presenting argument on critical legal issues presented in complex litigation and in class actions.

Ms. Norse currently serves as Chair of the Rules of General Practice and Judicial Administration. She also serves as a member of the Editorial Board for the American Bar Association's Litigation Journal. Ms. Norse is Past Chair of The Florida Bar's Appellate Practice Section and Past Chair of The Florida Bar’s Appellate Court Rules Committee. She is a Past President of the Florida Association for Women Lawyers and the Hillsborough Association for Women Lawyers. She is a former member of the Board of Directors of the Hillsborough County Bar Association and former chair of the HCBA's Appellate Section and Trial & Litigation Section.

Victor Tipton Award for “superior achievement in legal writing.” The Hillsborough Association for Women Lawyers has awarded Ms. Norse their HAWL Achievement Award in recognition of her commitment to promoting women in the legal profession and excellence in her career. She has also received the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit’s Professionalism in the Practice of Law Award and two President’s Awards from The Florida Bar—one for her service on the Special Committee on Artificial Intelligence Tools & Resources and the other for her work on the Special Committee on Opportunity in the Practice of Law. These honors reflect her dedication to maintaining the highest standards of legal practice while advancing opportunities for others in the profession.
