After returning to her native Colorado upon completion of her masters of law in taxation in Boston, Kristen has been practicing as a tax and transactional attorney. She advises companies in all stages of the business life cycle and particularly enjoys working with clients in the growth phase, and formulating structures for clients to encourage growth. Such structures vary from acquiring other businesses to creating incentive plans for employees. By serving as a sounding board for her clients, Kristen listens to their goals and advises them on the best plan to achieve those goals.
Kristen also enjoys implementing exit strategies for equity holders whether such strategy is a third party M&A deal or a succession plan to transfer ownership to the next generation. An important component of building a family succession plan is advising clients on estate planning matters. She provides creative estate planning solutions to individuals planning for the next generation of business leaders, which includes the preparation of wills, trusts, premarital agreements, and the creation of charitable organizations.
Kristen is admitted to practice law in Colorado and Massachusetts. She is a member of the American, Colorado and Denver Bar Associations.
Kristen received her Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from the University of Arizona in 2000 and her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Denver College of Law in 2003.
