Klaus Greb studied at the College of Public Administration in Mayen, the Johannes Gutenberg-University in Mainz und the German University of Public Administration in Speyer. Before joining avocado, he was amongst others an associate at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer.
He is focused on advising in Public Procurement and Contract Law. Klaus Greb has special expertise in structuring and advising complex awarding processes, both representing awarding authorities and tenderers. He frequently represents clients in special Public Procurement litigation cases just as in civil and administration procedures. Not least because of his certification as a specialised lawyer for public procurement law his expertise is documented. Energy and Postal Law like other Regulatory Law are part of Klaus Greb's field of expertise as well.
Dr. Greb is an instructor for lawyers respective the specialist solicitor course in Public Procurement Law of the German Lawyers Institute, a regular lecturer at the College of Public Administration in Berlin und a frequent lecturer at several important Public Procurement workshops in Germany, such as German University of Administrative Sciences Speyer. He publishes frequently, inter alia as a regular contributor for the main Public Procurement periodical in Germany “Vergaberecht” and co-author of a benchmark commentary respective Public Procurement Law in Germany. His commentary (editor) respective the German Sector Act is reviewed as “indispensable for all people in public procurement law” (ZfBR 2017, 831).
The “Legal 500 Deutschland” service for the legal trade in Germany ranks Dr. Greb as a “highly recommended” procurement law expert and describes his service as “in short notice, excellent right skills, practical and understandable advice”. Similarly in JUVE Handbook about Dr. Greb: “well versed and outcome-oriented”.
