Kim is a founding partner of Rathbone Group, LLC, a Cleveland, Ohio law firm representing clients in insurance subrogation, Commercial Litigation, and Insurance Law matters throughout North America. She serves as Managing Partner and works closely with clients on litigation strategy, quality assurance initiatives, process development, data analysis, and operational solutions designed to support long-term business objectives.
Kim has dedicated her legal career to insurance-related litigation and recovery matters. Before co-founding Rathbone Group, LLC in 2014, she practiced as a corporate litigator and subrogation attorney with a large law firm and later led the insurance subrogation practice at a creditors’ rights firm for more than a decade. Her experience includes managing complex claims, coordinating litigation efforts, and supporting a network of counsel across the United States and Canada.
In addition to her legal practice, Kim oversees firm operations, client development initiatives, and strategic planning efforts that support the continued growth of the firm. Her background in television news and media production before attending law school contributes to her practical communication style and problem-solving approach.
Kim has received an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell and has been recognized as a National Women in Law Honoree, a Super Lawyers Rising Star, an Inside Business One to Watch, and one of Cleveland’s 25 Under 35. While attending law school on the Nurenberg, Plevin, Heller & McCarthy Endowed Scholarship in Law, she served as Editor-in-Chief of the Cleveland State Law Review and was published in the Journal of Law and Health.
Outside of the office, Kim enjoys strength training, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
