Kimberly Civins has worked with wealthy individuals, families, executors and trustees for over 20 years and utilizes that expertise to assist clients with accomplishing their goals for wealth structuring and transfers. Kim concentrates her practice in:
- Estate planning
- Estate administration
- Trusts
- Tax exempt entities (including public charities and private foundations)
- Transfer tax (estate, gift and generation skipping transfer taxes and IRS audits)
- Business succession planning
- Federal and state regulation of bank trust departments
- Estate and trust litigation, in concert with her litigation colleagues
Kim began her career in sports marketing prior to attending law school. She spent most of her legal career as a trusts and estates partner at one of the world’s largest international law firms before joining Harrison & Held in 2021 along with her colleagues and clients.
Kim is a frequent speaker at professional education events for attorneys and accountants. In 2016, Kim received the honor of being elected by her peers as a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (“ACTEC”). Her election to ACTEC was based on her reputation, skill, and contribution to the estate planning community through lecturing, writing, teaching and participating in bar activities.
Kim serves on the Board of Directors and is Vice President of the Atlanta Estate Planning Council. She is also a Board Member of Neighborhood Cooperative Ministries.
