Kevin McCarthy

Kevin Fallon McCarthy is the managing attorney of McCarthy Law PLC and an experienced Phoenix debt attorney serving clients throughout Scottsdale, Phoenix, and the greater Arizona area. Mr. McCarthy has been a member of the Arizona Bar since 1986. His practice focuses on Bankruptcy and Creditor Debtor Rights, as well as Insolvency and Reorganization Law. He previously worked in private practice at Ryley, Carlock & Applewhite, P.A., a large Phoenix-based law firm, where his work centered on banking and finance matters for major financial institutions. Mr. McCarthy has also served as general counsel for a large corporation, gaining experience in human resources, corporate governance, and union class action litigation.

Mr. McCarthy graduated magna cum laude, second in his class, from the Arizona State University Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law. He earned his undergraduate degree in accounting from Creighton University. He is a published author and frequent professional speaker. His article, “Sins of the Father: Punitive Damages for Successor Corporations,” was published in the Arizona State Law Journal. He was a featured speaker at the 2013 Hope Conference in Phoenix, Arizona, and has taught continuing legal education courses on defending credit card litigation.

For many years, Mr. McCarthy was a frequent guest on Candid Conversation, Wise Counsel, a weekly radio program broadcast on KFNX 1100 AM in Phoenix. He currently appears monthly on Eric Lay’s Moneyline, heard Saturdays on 960 AM, where he discusses consumer debt, bankruptcy, and creditor-debtor issues affecting Arizona residents.

Since 2011, Mr. McCarthy has regularly shared commentary and analysis on the firm’s debt settlement blog, addressing developments in debt collection defense, bankruptcy law, and consumer financial rights.
