Kevin Mahoney

Kevin Mahoney is a Partner with the Law Offices of James Scott Farrin. He joined the firm in 2019 as part of its Eminent Domain and Condemnation Law practice and currently serves as the attorney in charge of the firm’s Asheville office, where he represents landowners throughout Asheville and Western North Carolina.

Kevin earned his Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, D.C., and received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Georgetown University.

A commitment to helping others has shaped Kevin’s professional path. He was raised by parents who emphasized service and community involvement, values that continue to guide his work today. After graduating from college and before attending law school, Kevin spent time in Central America building stoves for families in need.

Following law school, Kevin gained courtroom experience trying jury cases as a prosecutor. He later spent more than a decade representing property owners in eminent domain matters, working to help landowners pursue just compensation when their property is taken or affected by government action.

Kevin’s practice is grounded in fairness and the belief that property owners deserve a meaningful voice in the condemnation process. This commitment led him to join the NC Eminent Domain Law Firm, where he focuses on Eminent Domain and Condemnation Law on behalf of clients across North Carolina.
