Kevin Bastuba

Kevin Bastuba is a senior patent attorney and Patent Group Chair, advising companies on securing and scaling patent protection across U.S. and international markets. His practice focuses on building patent portfolios that support product commercialization, competitive positioning, and long term enterprise value.

Kevin regularly develops and executes patent prosecution strategies for technology companies ranging from venture backed startups to global Fortune 100 enterprises. His work includes preparing and prosecuting patent applications, coordinating international filing strategies, and advising on post grant proceedings before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. He also works closely with inventors and product teams to assess patentability, identify points of novelty, and align filing strategy with product and market roadmaps.

With a background in Computer Engineering, Kevin advises clients across a broad range of technologies and has supported patent strategy for companies including Oracle, Apple, Comcast, Samsung, Fujitsu, Illinois Tool Works, Bosch, MasterCard, and institutions within the University of California system.
