Kendra N. Beckwith

Ms. Beckwith leads the firm’s appellate group. Her practice focuses on appellate and complex litigation, and she routinely represents clients before the Colorado Court of Appeals, Colorado Supreme Court, and appellate courts throughout the country. Her experience includes appellate briefing, oral argument, and original proceedings. In addition to traditional appellate litigation activities, Ms. Beckwith’s practice emphasizes strategizing and resolving complex legal issues, both in and out of the courtroom. In the courtroom, she works with trial teams to craft new legal theories and brief legal arguments to ensure they are advanced and preserved for appeal. Out of the courtroom, she utilizes that same skill set to analyze and counsel clients on complex legal problems and develop pragmatic solutions to those problems. Ms. Beckwith has particular experience in wage and hour class and collective actions, as well as property law, commercial litigation, professional liability, and insurance law. Ms. Beckwith also advises the firm on issues of legal ethics and routinely speaks on those issues. Her past successes include defeating class certification in a gas royalties underpayment case in Wyoming federal court and overturning a $4.2 million jury verdict in the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals, obtaining judgment in her client’s favor. She is a member of the Colorado Supreme Court Committee on Civil Jury Instructions, a member of the Colorado Bar Association Ethics Committee, and a 2016 graduate of Colorado Bar Association Leadership Training (“COBALT”). Prior to entering private practice, Ms. Beckwith clerked for Judge John Daniel Dailey on the Colorado Court of Appeals.
