Ken Jiang is a partner in the Vancouver office of Thorsteinssons LLP.
His practice focuses on domestic and international tax planning, with particular emphasis on cross-border corporate structuring, inbound and outbound investment, and residency planning. His clients include individuals, private and public corporations, trusts, charities, financial institutions, and public bodies. He represents clients in complex tax disputes and audits, and helps them obtain relief under the Canada Revenue Agency's Voluntary Disclosures Program.
Ken also advises extensively on trust and estate planning, including the design and implementation of domestic and international trust structures, estate freezes, and succession planning for private businesses and multi-generational wealth.
Ken is the author and instructor of several courses offered by the Chartered Professional Accountants of British Columbia, including the Real Estate – Income Tax Course and the RIP – Estate Planning Course. He has published articles on various tax topics for Wolters Kluwer (CCH), Lexology, and the Canadian Tax Foundation.
Fluent in Mandarin and proficient in written Chinese, Ken delivers legal services in both English and Chinese.
Ken received his B.Sc. with Distinction (Biochemistry) from the University of Victoria in 2009 and his J.D. with Distinction from the University of Alberta in 2012.
