Biography
Kelly Jones is passionate about her role at Harris Beach Murtha in New York, New York, where she leads the Medical & Life Sciences Practice Group. With nearly twenty years of dedication, Kelly focuses on defending intricate legal cases across areas such as product liability litigation for defendants, class actions, toxic tort, general liability, and health care litigation. Her extensive practice extends to handling cases as national and regional counsel in multidistrict litigation (MDLs), class actions, state-coordinated litigation, and individual plaintiff cases revolving around complex scientific, medical, and regulatory matters.
Kelly's understanding of regulated industries is substantial, especially regarding FDA and EPA regulated products. She serves manufacturers and distributors involved in various sectors, including brand-name and generic pharmaceuticals, medical devices, over-the-counter drugs, biologics, vaccines, dietary supplements, homeopathic products, cosmetics, and consumer products like hair dyes, pesticides, and PFAS-containing items. She also represents clients in the food and beverage industries and those involved with chemicals, industrial equipment, and construction materials.
In her capacity as leader of the firm’s Long Term Care sector, Kelly guides defense strategies for health care, senior housing, assisted living, and skilled-nursing companies confronting litigation and regulatory challenges. Her work ranges from handling class actions and trials to arbitration, investigations, and regulatory responses. Among her clientele are some of the most prominent senior living and long-term care providers across North America.
