Kelly Jines advises employers on a broad range of workplace and business-related employment matters at Florentino & Grimshaw LLC in Rye Brook, New York. Her practice focuses on Employment Law - Management, including counseling businesses through day-to-day workforce issues, workplace disputes, compliance matters, and employment litigation. Kelly works with clients across multiple industries and provides practical legal guidance tailored to each client’s operational and business objectives.
Drawing on prior experience managing national projects, client accounts, and employees in industries including aviation and telecommunications, Kelly offers clients a business-minded perspective when addressing workplace challenges. She counsels employers throughout all stages of the business lifecycle, from startup and growth through restructuring and wind down. Her work includes advising on employee policies, offer letters, workplace investigations, employee leave matters, separations, handbooks, wage and hour compliance, commission agreements, executive compensation structures, and employment agreements.
Kelly also represents management in disputes involving allegations of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, whistleblower claims, and other employment-related matters. She assists clients in litigation, mediation, arbitration, and administrative proceedings, with an emphasis on efficient and practical dispute resolution strategies. In addition, she advises employers on labor and employment concerns involving executive partnership arrangements, terminations, and workforce management issues.
Before focusing her practice on employment law, Kelly worked as a defense attorney representing clients in complex criminal matters involving allegations such as wiretapping, extradition, internet theft, rioting, and attempted murder. That experience helped shape her courtroom, negotiation, and litigation skills, which she now applies when advocating for employers in state and federal courts and before administrative agencies.
Outside of her legal practice, Kelly enjoys spending time with her family and pursuing scuba diving adventures.
