Biography
Kaylee Cox is an associate in the litigation department at Helsell Fetterman LLP in Seattle, Washington. Her practice focuses on Commercial Litigation, Litigation - Real Estate, and Personal Injury Litigation - Defendants. She represents businesses, property owners, and individuals in a range of civil disputes, including real estate conflicts, construction-related claims, and other complex litigation matters.
Before joining Helsell Fetterman LLP, Kaylee served as a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney with the King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office. In that role, she handled a significant caseload and appeared regularly in both district and superior courts. She conducted jury trials, argued motions, and worked with opposing counsel to resolve cases through negotiated agreements. This courtroom experience provides a strong foundation for her current litigation practice.
After her time in public service, Kaylee moved into civil litigation at a Seattle law firm, where she represented clients in real estate disputes, construction defect claims, and other contested matters. Her experience across both criminal prosecution and civil litigation informs her approach to case analysis, strategy, and advocacy for clients throughout Washington.
Kaylee is a lifelong Pacific Northwesterner. She earned both her bachelor’s degree and her law degree from the University of Washington. While attending the University of Washington School of Law, she served as a member of the Washington Law Review and graduated with High Honors and Pro Bono Honors.
