Katelyn Benage is a senior associate attorney at Flicker Kerin LLP in Menlo Park, California. Her practice focuses on Family Law matters, including high-asset property division, domestic violence restraining orders, high-conflict child custody and visitation disputes, child and spousal support, paternity matters, and prenuptial agreements. Ms. Benage works with clients through each stage of the legal process while addressing the personal and financial considerations that often accompany family law disputes.
Ms. Benage earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy, with a minor in Business Administration, from the University of Oregon. Before attending law school, she worked as a legal assistant, gaining early experience in client communication and case management. She later earned her Juris Doctor from Willamette University College of Law in 2017.
During law school, Ms. Benage served as a student attorney in the university’s legal clinic, where she assisted business owners and nonprofit organizations with a variety of legal matters. Her work earned recognition for Outstanding Legal Writing and Best Client Management. She also served as President of the Student Bar Association, where she developed leadership and advocacy skills that continue to support her work with clients today.
At Flicker Kerin LLP, Ms. Benage represents individuals and families throughout Menlo Park and the surrounding California communities in a wide range of family law matters. She understands the challenges that can arise during divorce and custody proceedings, particularly in cases involving children or significant financial assets. Drawing on her background in business administration, she helps clients evaluate legal strategies that align with their personal and financial objectives.
Ms. Benage was selected to Super Lawyers® Rising Stars for 2019 and 2020. In addition to her legal practice, she remains active in music education and community involvement. She serves on the Board of Directors for Young Musicians & Artists, a resident music and arts camp where she previously volunteered as a camp counselor for many years. Outside the office, Ms. Benage enjoys gardening, baking, and traveling with friends and family.
