Kate Bennett is a Partner and Practice Group Lead with the Family Law group at Harrison Pensa. With more than 15 years of experience practicing family law, Kate advises clients on all issues arising from separation and divorce, including decision-making responsibility for children (formerly custody), parenting time (formerly primary care and/or access), child and spousal support, and division of property.
In addition to representing clients in family law litigation, Kate is experienced in Family Mediation and other forms of alternative dispute resolution, including arbitration. She helps clients navigate sensitive matters through a collaborative and solution-focused approach. Kate also assists with the negotiation and preparation of domestic contracts, such as cohabitation agreements and marriage contracts.
Kate is a member of the Personal Rights Panel of the Office of the Children’s Lawyer and represents children in child protection and high-conflict parenting cases.
