Kaitlyn Hutcherson is an associate with the firm. Her primary areas of practice include employment and labor law litigation, and general civil litigation.

Ms. Hutcherson represents clients in all types of employment matters, including discrimination, harassment, breach of contract, wrongful terminate, and covenants not to compete. Ms. Hutcherson also advises and assists clients with wage and hour compliance, employment agreements, employee handbooks, family and medical leave compliance, and other employment matters. She also represents clients in administrative disputes before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and various state administrative agencies. Ms. Hutcherson also handles matters involving commercial and business litigation.

Ms. Hutcherson attended the College of William & Mary, where she competed on the Women’s Varsity Golf Team. While in college, she was a four-time Provost Award recipient, inducted into Pi Sigma Alpha Honor Society, and named a National Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar. She graduated summa cum laude in 2013 with a B.A. in Public Policy.

In 2016, Ms. Hutcherson obtained her J.D. from William & Mary Law School. While in law school, she served as a member of the William & Mary Environmental Law and Policy Review. She was also a proud member of the Lewis B. Puller, Jr. Veterans Benefits Clinic, where she represented veterans and their families in appealing the denial of their service benefits. In addition, she provided pro bono legal services to members of the William & Mary community as an active volunteer for Student Legal Services.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Hutcherson gained unique legal experience while working for both the William & Mary NCAA Compliance Department and United States Congressman Dr. David P. Roe. She was licensed to practice in Tennessee in 2016 and in Virginia in 2017. She is a member of the Tennessee Bar Association and the Knoxville Bar Association. Ms. Hutcherson is also accredited to prepare, present, and prosecute claims for veterans’ disability benefits before the Department of Veterans Affairs.
