Kai Niu

Kai practices environmental and regulatory law with a particular focus on the natural resources, oil and gas, and energy industries. He advises clients on compliance issues related to land and water use for projects, environmental assessments for proposed projects and expansions, the construction and operation of public utilities. He regularly represents clients before provincial and federal administrative tribunals and regulators, including the British Columbia Utilities Commission, the Alberta Utilities Commission, and the Canadian Energy Regulator.

Kai also maintains a commercial litigation practice acting for clients in the construction, natural resources, oil and gas, and energy industries. He advises on a range of contractual disputes and represents clients in judicial and arbitration proceedings.
