Justin clerked for the Honorable Leigh I. Saufley of the Maine Supreme Judicial Court upon graduating from law school, and after practicing law with a large Portland law firm, joined LeBlanc & Young in 2001. Justin is a fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC). He is listed as a “Rising Star” in “Super Lawyers” and has the highest rating (AV) with Martindale-Hubbell. Justin is the current President of the Cleaves Law Library, and serves on the Maine Probate Rules Committee, the Board of Overseers of the Bar Grievance Commission, and the Maine Medical Center Planned Giving Committee. He is also the current Vice-Chair of the Probate and Trust Law Advisory Commission, appointed by the Maine Supreme Court to identify issues in Maine trust and estate law and practice and recommend changes to the State Legislature.

Justin has served as the Program Director of Habitat for Humanity of Greater Portland, as Chairman of the Trusts and Estates Section of the Maine State Bar Association, and as president of the Maine Estate Planning Council. Prior to law school, Justin worked closely with the original mascot (“Slugger”) of the Portland Sea Dogs, who has performed for over one million fans, appearing at the 1996 MLB All-Star FanFest, and making cameo appearances on ESPN’s SportsCenter and Game of the Week, HBO, and other national broadcasts. All of us at LeBlanc & Young are eagerly awaiting the day Justin is finally inducted into the Maine Baseball Hall of Fame. Justin and his wife, Hope, live in South Portland and try to keep up with their two sons, who are active in the many pursuits of athletic and musical young boys.
