Julian Li Diaz

Julián Li Díaz came to Philippi Prietocarrizosa Ferrero DU & Uría as head of the Environmental area in August 2022. He started his career as intern and then associate lawyer for more than 8 years at Rodrigo Elías & Medrano Abogados, which he left to work as Legal Chief of Water National Authority. Afterwards, he returned to the private practice at Lazo & De Romaña (2015), and then at his own environmental regulation boutique (2019), as one of the foremost experts in Water Resources in the country.

Julian specializes in all the regulation matters related to water allocation, a scare resource in Perú. During his 13 years’ experience he has advised industries such as: mining, agricultural, power generation, sanitation and industrial projects, both under the public or private investment regime through private initiatives.

He also has been invited by the National Society of Mining, Petroleum and Energy and the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Peru to be part in conferences and seminars related to the regulation of water resources. As such, he is recognized by experts, clients, and peers as a solid expert in water resources.

Julian Li has a Law degree from Pontificia Universidad Catolica del Peru (2009).
