Biography
Juli M. Porto represents people who have been injured by the carelessness of others, with a focus on cases involving ridehail companies such as Uber and Lyft. She has been quoted in the New York Times based on her expertise in ridehail cases. Juli handles civil and court-appointed criminal appeals to the Court of Appeals and Supreme Court of Virginia.
Juli will tirelessly advocate for you so that you receive the compensation that you deserve for the pain and trauma you have suffered through no fault of yours. Most of Juli’s clients are unfamiliar with the litigation process and do not know how to handle the constant phone calls and paperwork coming from the insurance companies. For some, it is even difficult to talk about their trauma. Juli understands these concerns and the first thing she will do for you is stop the harassment – after you walk out of her office, you will not receive another phone call from the insurance companies. Despite the number of cases Juli has prosecuted, she believes no two cases are the same. She will work closely with you to understand your unique situation and recover the compensation to which you are entitled.
Prior to joining the Bar, Juli was an external law clerk for The Honorable Rossie D. Alston, Jr. of the Court of Appeals of Virginia. As an undergraduate, she was a Distinguished Cadet at the United States Military Academy at West Point, and after an honorable discharge from the U.S. Army, graduated as an Honors Scholar from New York University.
