Biography

Judah is a first-chair trial lawyer and commercial litigator with a focus on complex business disputes, including real estate and land use litigation, closely held partnership disputes, high stakes “bet the company” litigation, creditors’ rights and bankruptcy/insolvency matters, and disputes on behalf of alternative energy firms. He provides end-to-end strategic counsel, navigating clients through every phase of the litigation lifecycle—from pre-suit investigation and aggressive motion practice to trial, the negotiation of settlements, and appellate advocacy. He has particular experience in emergency applications and injunctive proceedings, especially in the context of closely held disputes where control of a business is on the line.

He represents property developers, landlords, financial services firms, alternative energy firms, business partners, joint venture entities, startups, large and middle market businesses, insurers, lenders and other clients in a wide array of claims in the business and insolvency contexts, including fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, breach of contract, business and traditional torts, fraudulent transfers, preferences, negligent design, and professional negligence.

In the real estate, redevelopment and land use areas, Judah’s considerable litigation experience includes the representation of owners, developers, landlords, tenants, and other parties in complex disputes related to the interpretation of leases, claims arising out of financial agreements, claims arising from property redevelopment, claims related to environmental contamination, and claims against municipal entities.

Judah litigates matters in federal and state courts and before alternative dispute resolution venues, including the American Arbitration Association (AAA) and JAMS. He has also handled matters before the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA).
