Joshua L. Woods

Located in Hartford, Connecticut, Joshua L. Woods is an integral part of the Harris Beach Murtha team, specializing in Banking and Finance Law, Corporate Law, Health Care Law, and Real Estate Law. As a dedicated member of the Commercial Real Estate team, Josh collaborates with commercial developers, institutional lenders, corporations, partnerships, nonprofits, and other entities involved in the development, finance, sale, purchase, and leasing of commercial real estate. Josh routinely drafts and negotiates swap documents, commercial leases, purchase agreements, asset sale agreements, stock purchase agreements, and loan agreements for loan forgiveness under federal grant parameters.

Before entering private practice, Josh held the position of general manager and attorney for a small business. Here, he managed 30 employees across multiple locations, played a crucial role in researching and securing potential expansion sites, reviewed and negotiated commercial leases, assisted with franchise agreements, and audited franchisees to ensure compliance.
