Joseph Pidel is an associate at Rivkin Radler LLP in Albany, New York, where he practices in the firm’s Commercial Litigation, Complex Torts, and Insurance Law practice areas. He represents businesses, insurers, agencies, and other clients in a wide range of litigation matters in state and federal courts throughout New York.
Joe regularly represents agencies that provide residential and habilitation services in matters involving allegations of negligence and other claims. He also assists construction companies with defending against negligence claims and alleged Labor Law violations, as well as disputes involving payment for labor and services performed. In addition, Joe handles complex personal injury matters and commercial disputes involving contractual and business-related issues.
Prior to joining Rivkin Radler LLP, Joe worked and interned for an Appellate Division judge, the Albany County District Attorney’s Office, the New York State Attorney General’s Office, and a private law firm in the Hudson Valley. These experiences provided him with exposure to litigation, motion practice, legal research, and courtroom procedures across a variety of legal settings.
Before attending law school, Joe earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics. His background in mathematics supports his analytical approach to evaluating facts, reviewing legal issues, and developing practical strategies for clients.
Outside of his legal practice, Joe enjoys golfing, exploring local restaurants, and walking with his dog.
