Biography
Joseph D. Reece is a founding member of RMP LLP and has more than 22 years of experience practicing law. He is based in Springdale, Arkansas and serves clients throughout Northwest Arkansas. A native of the region, Mr. Reece earned his undergraduate degree in Accounting from the University of the Ozarks, followed by a Juris Doctor from Mercer University in Macon, Georgia. He also holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Estate Planning and Taxation from the University of Miami.
Mr. Reece’s practice focuses on Tax Law and Trusts and Estates, with an emphasis on advising businesses and families on estate planning, tax planning, and related business matters. His background in accounting and advanced legal education allows him to address complex financial and tax considerations as part of comprehensive planning strategies. He previously served as a member of the University of the Ozarks Board of Trustees.
Mr. Reece has received peer recognition within the legal community, including Lawyer of the Year honors in Tax Law from The Best Lawyers in America in 2020 and recognition in Trusts and Estates from 2018 through 2022. He has also been selected for inclusion in the Estate Planning and Probate category of Mid-South Super Lawyers from 2019 through 2022.
