Joseph S. “Joe” Bradley is a Senior Partner at Bradley, Drendel & Jeanney in Reno, Nevada. Since 1983, he has represented injured individuals and families throughout Northern Nevada in personal injury litigation and wrongful death matters. His practice focuses on helping clients pursue compensation after serious accidents, including motor vehicle collisions, trucking accidents, motorcycle and bicycle accidents, aviation incidents, premises liability claims, defective product cases, and insurance disputes.
Joe is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA), an invitation-only organization of trial attorneys and judges. He also holds an AV Preeminent peer review rating from Martindale-Hubbell. Over the course of his career, he has been recognized by legal organizations including The National Trial Lawyers and America’s Top 100 High Stakes Litigators for his work in plaintiff litigation.
Throughout more than four decades of practice, Joe has recovered more than $500 million on behalf of clients and has represented thousands of individuals in personal injury claims across Nevada. He has handled matters involving automobile accidents, commercial trucking crashes, boating and aviation accidents, dangerous property conditions, negligent security claims, dog bites, catastrophic injuries, and claims against governmental entities and major insurance companies.
Joe has obtained substantial settlements and verdicts in contested injury cases. His results include a $10.5 million settlement arising from an aviation disaster involving catastrophic injuries and amputations, a $4 million jury verdict in a defective product case involving severe burn injuries, a $3.75 million recovery for a motorcyclist injured in a collision with a commercial truck, and a $1 million jury verdict in a premises liability case in Washoe County.
Joe earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Nevada, Reno in 1978 and received his Juris Doctor from the University of the Pacific McGeorge School of Law in 1983. He has been licensed to practice law in Nevada since 1983 and is admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the District of Nevada. He has argued cases before the Nevada Supreme Court and has tried cases in Washoe County, Clark County, and rural counties throughout Northern Nevada.
In addition to his litigation practice, Joe has written and lectured on uninsured and underinsured motorist litigation and automobile insurance issues. He has also served as lead counsel in Nevada Supreme Court cases involving insurance coverage and personal injury law.
Outside the office, Joe remains active in the Northern Nevada community and maintains strong ties to the University of Nevada, Reno. He previously served two terms as Chairman of the UNR Foundation Board of Trustees and received the University’s President’s Medal in recognition of his service. Joe enjoys spending time with his family and taking advantage of Northern Nevada’s outdoor activities, including skiing, hiking, golf, fly fishing, and time at Lake Tahoe.
