Jonathan is a partner in the Construction and Engineering team at Colin Biggers & Paisley and has over 15 years' experience in advising government, developers, contractors, consultants and financiers on a broad range of major construction and engineering projects in Australia, Asia and the UK.
Jonathan specialises in advising clients on the procurement, structuring and delivery of projects, the allocation and management of risks, and the drafting and negotiation of the project documentation (including project deeds, head contracts, subcontracts, consultants' appointments and financing documentation).
Jonathan also advises clients on the on-going management of contracts and on design, construction, operation and maintenance issues. Jonathan is experienced in advising across a number of different contracting models, including PPPs, alliances, EPC/EPCM contracts, design & construct and construct-only contracts, operation and maintenance agreements, subcontracts and consultants' appointments.
Jonathan's experience covers a broad range of sectors, including rail, roads, ports, prisons, courts, energy, telecommunications, commercial, residential, retail, health and education projects.Jonathan joined the legal practice in 2013 after seven years with Clayton Utz's Construction & Major Projects Group, prior to which he spent seven years with DLA Piper and Addleshaw Goddard in the UK.
Jonathan is admitted to practice in New South Wales, the High Court and in England & Wales.
