Jon Armendariz recently joined KPMG as the head of the corporate law / M&A practice at KPMG’s Bilbao office, after having worked at a top-tier Spanish law firm (Madrid and Bilbao) for almost thirteen years.

His practice focuses mainly on corporate, M&A, banking and finance law, and he has a wide experience in regulated sectors.

Jon has advised Spanish and foreign clients (mainly industrial companies, but also banks, funds and public entities) on a wide variety of transactions: investments, divestments, joint ventures and financing transactions in several industries, including automotive, mining, health services and insurance market, securities market, retail and real estate, among others.

He is also secretary to the board of several companies.

On the academic front, Jon is a lecturer of Civil Law at University of Deusto.

Since 2009, he has also lectured on the Master's course in Business Law at University of Deusto, as well as being a visiting professor at Comillas Pontifical University (Madrid) and University of the Basque Country (Donostia-San Sebastián) among others.
