In his employment practice, John provides counseling and training on a wide range of employment matters, such as:
He regularly appears before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the National Labor Relations Board, the Pennsylvania Human Rights Commission and other governmental agencies. John also advises both self-insured and insured employers regarding various aspects of their workers' compensation programs, including issues unique to employers with staff in multiple states, strategies for reducing workers' compensation costs, litigation strategy and the interrelationship of workers' compensation and employment and labor laws.
His clients include the following types of companies:
John is one of the founders and current office managing shareholder of the firm's Pittsburgh office. He is also a member of Littler Mendelson's Traditional Labor and Corporate Transactions practice groups and serves as the chair for both the Workers' Compensation Practice Group and the firm's Technology Committee.
During the period of 1982 to 1987, John was a field examiner with the NLRB's Region Six office in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
