Biography

John (Jack) Goller is a Shareholder in the Litigation and Risk Management Practice Group at von Briesen & Roper, s.c. For more than 20 years, his practice has focused on complex civil litigation with an emphasis on mass toxic torts, product liability, transportation and catastrophic loss defense of corporations and their insurers. He serves his clients as national, regional and local counsel and takes an active role in all phases of litigation from fact and expert discovery until resolution of the case, including trial and appeals. He has tried cases or represented clients in litigation around the country including courts in Wisconsin, Illinois, Missouri, Minnesota, California, Washington State, Idaho, Oregon, Wyoming, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, Delaware, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, and West Virginia. Jack has successfully managed and defended over a thousand claims involving alleged exposures to asbestos, many of which were wrongful death, living mesothelioma or living lung cancer cases. A trusted advisor on complex toxic tort issues, Jack has counseled clients on ways to assess and mitigate potential litigation risks in the mergers and acquisition context. Jack also serves as outside general counsel for a number of closely held companies.
