John Brusniak, Jr.

John Brusniak, Jr. has been a nationally recognized property tax attorney for 40 years. Before starting his own firm, John was a partner in two of Texas’ largest law firms. As a result of his ground-breaking appellate and other successes, Texas property tax law bears his personal mark. He is a frequently sought speaker and publisher of property tax articles, as well as his own reference book, Brusniak’s Texas Property Tax Digest. John is also the author of Texas Property Tax Code Practice Insights published by LEXISNEXIS and the Texas Chapter of the American Bar Association’s Property Tax Deskbook. John has also been recognized by his peers with election to the positions of chair of the American Bar Association’s Property Tax Committee, chair of the State Bar of Texas’ Property Tax Committee, and chair of the entire State Bar of Texas, Section of Taxation. He has repeatedly been selected by his peers as one of “Texas’ Super Lawyers.” John is the managing shareholder of the property tax specialty law firm of Brusniak | Blackwell PC and President of the National Association of Property Tax Attorneys.
