John A. Mennie

John A. Mennie is a Partner at Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard P.C. who focuses his practice on catastrophic personal injury, medical negligence, and wrongful death cases.

Since joining the firm in 2014, Mr. Mennie has recovered more than $250 million on behalf of his clients across Illinois, including:

• $52 million jury verdict for the family of a man killed and his son who was seriously injured in a multi-vehicle crash in Stockton, Illinois

• $21 million settlement in a medical negligence case for a newborn who suffered a permanent brain injury at birth

• $18.5 million resolution for a child left with a serious brain injury following a delayed diagnosis and treatment of meningitis

• $1.6 million wrongful death jury verdict, the highest recorded verdict in Stephenson County

Mr. Mennie gained valuable experience trying cases from his earliest days at the firm, earning a Trial Lawyer Excellence Award from Law Bulletin Media for his record-breaking Stephenson County verdict. Before joining Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard P.C., he clerked at a prominent plaintiffs’ personal injury firm, where he worked on complex medical negligence, product liability, and whistleblower cases.

Today, Mr. Mennie draws on his extensive litigation background to guide clients who come to him at the worst moments of their lives. He explains complex legal processes in plain language, answers the difficult questions clients are often afraid to ask, and builds every case as though it will go before a jury. He brings this same level of meticulous preparation to his colleagues, investing heavily in mentoring younger attorneys through their first depositions.
