Joel S. Rothman graduated Northwestern University School of Law, where he served on the Journal of Criminal Law and Criminology. He is a past Chairman of the Trust Law Committee of the Chicago Bar Association and a member of the Chicago Estate Planning Council, the Section on Trusts and Estates of the Illinois Bar Association, and the Section of Real Property, Probate and Trust Law of the American Bar Association. Joel also serves as a director of national and local charitable organizations. He is the chairman of the board and past National President of the American Society for Technion. Joel has practiced for more than 30 years in the areas of estate planning, probate, wealth protection, and trust administration. He has extensive experience in personal and family tax planning and succession planning. Joel works with entrepreneurs, professionals, executives, retirees, and closely held businesses. He is a member of the Leading Lawyers Network, is AV-Rated by Martindale-Hubbell and Lawyers.com, and has been chosen once again in 2012 as a Super Lawyer by Super Lawyers magazine for 2013. He was also included in the February 2011 issue of Chicago Magazine’s top 100 attorneys in Illinois.
