Mr. Greene is an attorney in the firm's Washington, D.C. office and Chair of the firm's Diversity Action Committee. He has been in private practice in the Washington, D.C. area since 1974, assisting clients in energy regulatory matters, legal strategic planning, contract negotiations and advocacy before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, state commissions and the courts.
Mr. Greene is very active in the energy industry, having served on the North American Energy Standards Board, Edison Electric Institute Order 636 Task Force, and as an officer of the Energy Bar Association. From 2003-2004 he served as chair of the International District Energy Association (IDEA), a 900-member international trade association formed in 1909. Members are involved in heating and cooling buildings on campuses and in most major cities with steam, hot water and/or chilled water. In June, 2005 Mr. Greene was awarded the organization's highest honor.
Passionate about issues of inclusion and diversity in the workplace, Mr. Greene was instrumental in the development of the firm's Core Values as a member of the Diversity Action Committee, and was appointed by the firm's Management Committee as Chief Diversity/Retention Officer (CDRO) to reinforce those values and assist the firm to adapt to the changing realities of the modern workplace.
