Joe acts for franchisors, property developers, commercial investors, high net worth individuals and family businesses. His clients include well-known national franchise networks, property developers operating across Western Australia, and private clients with complex multi-entity and multi-generational wealth structures. He is based in Perth. Joe speaks Italian fluently, giving him particular capability in advising Italian-speaking clients and in cross-cultural matters.
Joe advises on all areas of franchise law, including preparation of franchise documentation, advice to existing and prospective franchisors and franchisees, litigation and mediation support for franchising disputes, and Consumer Law and trade practices compliance. His property practice spans commercial, industrial and retail leasing, property acquisitions and sales, property development, joint venture and co-ownership arrangements, project finance and securitisation, strata law and fund-through arrangements. He also advises on business structuring, acquisition and succession planning, and estate planning including complex testamentary and protective trust arrangements.
Joe’s franchise practice spans more than 20 years and includes ongoing advisory roles for major national franchise networks. His property development work includes multi-stage commercial and industrial projects, mixed-use residential developments and fund-through structures. His estate planning and succession work includes family groups with wealth in the A$10 million to A$100 million range, often involving complex company and trust structures across multiple generations.
