Jodie E. Bekman is an attorney in Gordon Feinblatt’s Financial Services Practice Group. Her practice focuses on commercial litigation, business litigation, real estate litigation, bankruptcy, and workout and restructuring matters. She represents businesses, financial institutions, property owners, and other clients in complex disputes involving commercial transactions, real estate interests, insolvency proceedings, and business operations.
Jodie has extensive experience handling a broad range of commercial and business disputes for clients across numerous industries. Her clients include business owners, title insurance companies and their insureds, hotels, lenders, landlords, property owners, vendors, suppliers, and utility companies. She advises and represents clients in matters involving business conflicts, real estate disputes, bankruptcy proceedings, restructuring and workout matters, and employment-related disagreements.
A significant portion of Jodie’s practice involves helping clients navigate complex litigation and dispute resolution matters while protecting their business and financial interests. Her experience spans both state and federal courts, where she advocates for clients facing challenging legal and commercial issues.
Jodie has been recognized for her work in commercial litigation and bankruptcy. She was named in Best Lawyers for Commercial Litigation from 2023 through 2025 and has been recognized by Maryland Super Lawyers in Bankruptcy. Earlier in her career, she was also named a Maryland Super Lawyers Rising Star.
In addition to her legal practice, Jodie has served in leadership and advisory roles with numerous professional and community organizations. Her service has included positions with the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law Alumni Board, the Maryland State Bar Association Voir Dire Committee, IWIRC Greater Maryland Chapter, Itineris, Inc., Florida International University Business Women in Leadership Advisory Counsel, and the Turnaround Management Association Chesapeake Chapter.
