Jocelyn B. Hurwitz is the firm’s Co-Managing Partner. For many years, Jocelyn served as Chair of the firm’s Family Law Group. She draws on the group’s collective expertise and creativity to deliver positive outcomes for her clients. Jocelyn collaborates closely with lawyers across the firm, both within and beyond her practice group, to achieve successful results, whether through settlement or at trial. Within the firm, Jocelyn values mentoring associates and supporting their professional growth through the firm’s Connecting Women @ CW initiative.
Jocelyn represents clients in court in family law matters ranging from complex financial issues to high conflict custody and parenting issues. Jocelyn also counsels and assists clients who are interested in resolving their disputes through less adversarial processes, such as mediation and collaborative divorce. She appears in courts throughout Fairfield County and New Haven County and also represents clients as they mediate their cases or work collaboratively to resolve their legal issues.
Known for her diligence and practical approach to problem-solving, Jocelyn helps clients navigate emotionally complex situations with clarity and compassion. She ensures that clients remain informed throughout the legal process, always working toward achieving their goals in the most effective and efficient way possible.
In addition to being recognized by Chambers High Net Worth, Jocelyn has also been named to the “Top 25 Women in Connecticut Super Lawyers®” list (2021-2025) and the “Top 50 Connecticut Super Lawyers®" list (2022-2023). Active in her community, Jocelyn has been serving as the Board President at Cold Spring School in New Haven since 2021. An advocate for education, Jocelyn is a valued partner for Bridgeport Caribe Youth Leaders SUCCESS Program and Great Oaks Charter School career events in Bridgeport. She has also volunteered with CT Legal Services, Mercy Learning Center, and Team Woofgang & Co.
Ms. Hurwitz received her B.S. in 1989 from Cornell University and her J.D. in 1992 from Cornell Law School.
