Biography
Joanna B. Rosenblatt is an associate at Rivkin Radler LLP in Uniondale, New York, where she represents insurers in matters involving insurance law and insurance fraud litigation. As a member of the firm’s Insurance Fraud Practice Group, Joanna assists with civil actions brought under the federal Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act. Her work includes helping insurers pursue affirmative claims to recover insurance payments made to physicians, medical clinics, attorneys, public adjusters, and other participants alleged to be involved in complex insurance fraud schemes.
Before joining Rivkin Radler, Joanna served for five years as an Assistant District Attorney in the Special Victims Bureau of the Nassau County District Attorney’s Office. In that role, she investigated and prosecuted a wide range of criminal matters, including rape, child sexual and physical abuse, domestic violence, burglary, assault, and elder abuse. Her responsibilities included coordinating investigations with law enforcement, interviewing victims and witnesses, presenting cases to the grand jury, handling evidentiary hearings, and trying cases in both jury and bench trials through verdict.
Joanna’s background in criminal prosecution informs her approach to insurance law matters involving alleged fraud and complex investigations. She works with insurers to analyze claims, review evidence, and support litigation strategies in civil actions arising from suspected fraudulent conduct.
