With almost twenty years of prior business experience in real estate, investment banking, and finance, Ms. Peck has established an outstanding record of achieving successful results through every aspect of real estate litigation, including due diligence, drafting, discovery, motion practice, trial, settlement, and appeal. She has a broad expertise in the areas of adjacent construction disputes, Real Property Actions and Proceedings Law (“RPAPL”) Section 881 matters, party wall disputes, housing discrimination, professional malpractice, noise disputes, nuisance cases, and real estate valuation disputes.
In particular, Ms. Peck is one of the leading attorneys in New York in RPAPL Section 881 actions. Representing both developers and adjacent owners, Ms. Peck has won multiple landmark rulings, including, the first case in New York City to grant a developer a permanent encroachment on the adjacent property, and the first case denying a developer a license to access the adjacent property.
Ms. Peck distinguishes herself from other real estate litigators by taking an aggressive and hands-on approach to complex litigation issues and problem solving by working with a team of technical professionals, including geotechnical engineers, structural engineers, and architects, to advocate for and protect her clients’ property rights and interests.
Ms. Peck received her B.S. from Cornell University in Pre-Law and Finance, her M.B.A. from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, and her J.D. from New York Law School, where she graduated fifth in her class, Summa Cum Laude, and was on the both the Law Review and the Harlan Scholars Honors Program.
